Also known as deep-fried bread.
Poori is a versatile bread that can be served at time of the day. My children's
eyes twinkled when they came home from school and saw a plate full of pooris and curry.
Makes 16 pooris.
Ingredients:
2 cups of atta (whole wheat powder)
1/4 cup fine semolina
oil to deep fry
salt to taste
warm water
Method:
Mix ingredients using enough water to make dough.
Grease your hands with little ghee and knead for 10 minutes.
Cover and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
Make golf-sized balls and roll out in round shapes.
Deep fry in hot oil. Serve with curry of your choice.
