Peanut Powder

Used in different curries for flavor.

Peanuts are usually well-liked by everyone who can eat them. Peanut powder is used not only in curries, but also with rice dishes. I like to use this peanut powder that I will be showing you on a day to day basis to enhance the flavors of my dishes.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of peanuts

  • 1 tsp channa daal (bengal gram)

  • 1 tsp urad daal (split black gram)

  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)

  • 2-3 dried red chilis

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric


Method:

  1. Dry roast peanuts and remove skin. Set aside.

  2. In the same pan, dry roast rest of ingredients except for turmeric.

  3. Blend all ingredients together with the turmeric.

  4. Use about 2 tbsp in dish of choice. Any leftover powder should be stored in an airtight container and used within a week
