Also known as paneer stuffed roti.
I will be showing you how to make a simple, yet delicious stuffed roti that children will definitely enjoy!
Makes 6-8 parathas.
Ingredients for paratha:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp crushed ajwain
2 tsp ghee
salt to taste
Ingredients for paneer stuffing:
1 cup grated paneer
2 finely minced green chilis
1/2 tsp grated ginger
2 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp garam masala or chaat masala
salt to taste
Method for paneer-stuffed paratha:
Mix all paratha ingredients together, adding enough water to create a semi-soft dough.
Knead well and keep covered for at least 30 minutes.
Mix all paneer stuffing ingredients together until homogenous.
Make dough balls, and roll out into roti shape.
Add one tbsp of stuffing onto the center of the roti, and then bring all sides together.
Then, roll out evenly to disperse the paneer inside.
Roast on both sides of paratha using ghee. Please note that using ghee will bring out the taste of paratha.
