Mango-Coconut Chutney

A spicy chutney for Dosas and Vadas.

This is a chutney that will leave you lip-smacking and is used as a side for any variety of Dosa or Vada.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 raw mango cubed

  • 1/2 cup grated coconut

  • 8-10 green chili

  • 2 tsp oil

  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1/2 tsp urad daal (black gram)

  • 1 sprig of curry leaves

  • 1 whole red chili

  • salt to taste

Method:

  1. Blend mango, coconut, green chili, and salt to taste into smooth chutney with a little water.

  2. Temper mustard seeds, urad daal, red chili, and curry leaves in oil.

  3. Pour over the chutney and serve with your choice of dish.
