Coconut Mint Chutney

A delicious accompaniment to dosas!

Coconut chutney with mint is a variation on the beloved plain coconut chutney that is known for its distinct flavor. Enjoy!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated coconut

  • 10-15 fresh mint leaves

  • 1 inch piece of ginger

  • 4 green chilis

  • 1/2 a lemon, juiced

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 1/2 mustard seeds

  • 1 dried red chili

  • salt to taste


Method:

  1. Blend first five ingredients (coconut, mint, ginger, green chilis, lemon juice).

  2. Add 1/4 cup of water and salt and blend until smooth chutney consistency.

  3. Temper the remaining ingredients on medium flame and add to chutney.

  4. Enjoy along with dosa, adai, etc.
