Carrot Roti

Nutritious roti that can be enjoyed with a multitude of different curries.


I started making stuffed rotis with various vegetables to encourage my children to eat their veggies. Later, even when my children have grown up, I have incorporated this recipe into everyday cooking.

 

This recipe yields 6 rotis.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup grated carrot

  • 1 small, finely chopped green chili

  • 1 teaspoon of warm oil

  • 1/2 cup water

  • salt to taste


Method:

  1. Fold grated carrot and green chili into flour.

  2. Add salt to taste and warm oil.

  3. Mix and knead thoroughly, adding water to form a dough

  4. Leave dough covered for 10 minutes.

  5. Make rotis!

  6. Enjoy with curry of choice.
